We offer a range of bike insurance options at Hastings Direct, allowing you to choose the level of cover that best suits your needs and budget.

Policy features

	<li>Cover for damage to your bike (except if it&#39;s caused by fire of theft). Up to its market value</li>
	<li>Cover for damage or loss by fire or theft. Up to its market value</li>
	<li>Legal liability cover for damage to other people&#39;s (third party) property. Up to &pound;20m (or &pound;25m in total, including all costs).</li>
	<li>No claims discount. If no claim has been made against your policy, your renewal premium will be adjusted accordingly at your renewal date. However, if a claim is made against your policy, your no claims discount may be reduced.</li>
	<li>Uninsured drivers promise. This means you won&#39;t lose your no claims discount or pay any excess if the accident wasn&#39;t your fault.</li>

Choosing bike breakdown cover as an optional extra will mean your breakdown provider will come to your rescue if your bike won&rsquo;t start or it breaks down while you&rsquo;re riding.&nbsp;

If you have an accident on the roads, it&#39;s not just your bike that can get damaged. With bike helmet and leather cover, your riding gear is protected too.

If you get into an accident on the road that isn&#39;t your fault, our legal expenses cover gives you extra protection. From 24/7 legal advice to compensation if you can&rsquo;t use your bike and more.&nbsp;

Get a cash payment of up to &pound;20,000 if you&#39;re injured in an accident on your motorbike.

Third party cover 
This covers the other person and their property if you&#39;re involved in an accident.

 
 
Third party fire and theft cover 
This offers the same cover, but with extra protection if your bike is stolen or damaged by fire.

 
 
Comprehensive cover 
Our top level insurance, comprehensive cover will protect your bike in the event of damage by accident, theft, fire or vandalism. If something unexpected happens, we&#39;ll do all we can to help get you back on the road as soon as possible.

You could get discount on your bike insurance if:

<ul>
	<li>You complete an enahnced rider course-&nbsp;Riders that have completed a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) enhanced rider scheme. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>You get a Multi-bike policy- Save money by insuring more than one bike on one policy.</li>
	<li>You&rsquo;re a new policyholder (without a no claims discount)- If you&rsquo;re a new bike rider and haven&rsquo;t yet built up a no claims discount.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>You have continuous ownership- This means you&rsquo;ve been a bike owner and rider for a number of years.</li>
	<li>Your bike is kept in a garage- Sometimes known as &lsquo;garaging&rsquo;.</li>
	<li>You take certain security measures- Such as fitting your bike with an alarm or immobiliser.</li>
</ul>
