Hastings Direct, one of the UK's fastest growing insurance providers scooped a hat trick of awards at a prestigious industry bash in London (March 28th).
Facing stiff competition from the global financial services community including many international retail and investment banks, Hastings won three awards at the FStech Awards — more than any other company on the night.
Hastings Direct won:
James Fairhurst, chief information officer, Hastings Direct: "I am so proud of my team and thrilled that we have received such external recognition. Technology and IT has been the backbone of Hastings rapid growth over the past 18 months supporting every aspect of the business as we have nearly doubled in size — growing 30% last year alone and helping us to pass the one million customer mark"
Paul Priestley, head of counterfraud, Hastings Direct: "This is the second prestigious industry award we have won for our war on fraud in the past six months. Insurance fraud costs every UK driver over £40 and at Hastings our award winning team battles hard to ensure that our honest customers are not penalised. As a broker, we are also fighting hard for our insurance partners to ensure they are not taking on any unnecessary risks. We have invested heavily to achieve this award winning result — the technology we use is the same that help pinpoint Osama Bin Laden, so UK fraudsters beware — we will find you."
