Hastings Direct Opens First High Street Branch

5th March 2010

Hastings Direct has taken its first step towards building a network of high street branches in the south east region, by opening its first branch in Bexhill-on-Sea.

The Bexhill-on-Sea branch will provide the local community with a more personalised face-to-face service, as well as giving customers access to exclusive offers and promotions. Customers who visit the branch will be entitled to an annual review and price check, as well as personal help to manage any claims. Hastings Direct will compare prices across a range of top UK insurers, to ensure that their customers are receiving some of the most competitive quotes available on the market.

By opening the first in a series of branches, Hastings Direct has established a new business channel which will help to reinforce its position as the most successful multi-channel insurance broker in the UK.

Lance Bennett, new markets director at Hastings Direct, says: "Our ambitious growth plans for 2010 and beyond are already coming to fruition with the opening of our first high street branch. By exploring new business channels, we hope that we can exceed the unprecedented growth rates which Hastings Direct is currently experiencing. Our continued dedication to multi-channel distribution is largely focused on the south east, but our growth plans for the future are much larger-scale."

"Opening our first branch in Bexhill is testament to Hastings Direct's ethos of the local community being an integral part of our business vision. It is for this reason that we are delighted to be able to combine tailored promotions and offers with good old-fashioned, face-to-face customer service. Hastings Direct already sponsors local football teams, as well as being a strong advocate of local charity SASBAH (The Sussex Association for Spinal Bifida and Hydrocephalous), and so being able to enhance the customer service experience locally, while creating jobs in the process, is hugely satisfying for Hastings Direct."
