Leading broker to create 150 new jobs by summer of 2011
Bexhill-based insurance broker Hastings Direct continues to grow and has today announced that150 new posts will be created in 2011. The first 60 of these posts will be recruited in January 2011 as the company needs enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable new staff with good telephone voices from the Bexhill, Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove areas for an immediate start.
Overall the company expects to recruit 350 roles throughout 2011 with the remaining 90 new roles recruited before the summer. The new recruitment drive is to meet expansion from growing customer demand. In 2010 a new customer joined the independent brokers every 90 seconds.
The new jobs are full-time equivalents and the company would be happy to consider job share or part time mums, dads or students, wishing to earn extra income across the shifts, which include evenings and weekends. All applicants must be aged over 18.
The starting salary is circa £17,000 which includes an average monthly bonus payment of £300, but staff members who excel at selling regularly earn as much as an additional £2,000 a month.
Hastings Direct — which celebrates its 14th birthday on January 22nd — sells motor, bike, van and household insurance to the public. The company has enjoyed unprecedented growth — employing an additional 400 staff in the last 12 months alone, but more new roles are needed to service this growing business.
