Hastings Direct gets Scouts to be prepared

15th April 2013

Hastings Direct's community programme — A Helping Hand — has donated £100 to the 2nd Bexhill Scout Group towards redecorating its club house in Buckhurst Road, Bexhill.

Hastings Direct's A Helping Hand makes financial, professional and physical support available to the local community. Each month Hastings is able to offer either professional support from its 1,500+ staff, or physical support with team building days. In addition, Hastings has made a small monthly grant available to support local funding.

The Buckhurst Road based Club House, provides the home for the local beavers, cubs and scouts and there is a new Sidley scout group about to start. Any parents interested in this new group should contact Scout leader Barry Wilkinson at barrygsl63@hotmail.co.uk

Jay Wootten, community liaison, Hastings Direct: "We are delighted to have been able to help the Scouts do their own DIY to spruce up their club house which is a great resource and focal point for so many local young people."

If you know of a local organisation in need of A Helping Hand, please email jaywootten@hastingsdirect.com with details of your organisation and how we may be able to assist.
