Battle & Bexhill beat bills thanks to Hastings Local

5th July 2011

Whilst the average family is now £728 worse off a year* and the outlook remains gloomy this summer as the consumer price index is predicted to rise to 5.5%, in a bid to help battle some of the bills, Hastings Local is offering to guarantee that Bexhill, Battle, Eastbourne and Hastings residents' car, home and bike insurance costs will not be bigger this year.

The branch, part of the Hastings Direct group, will guarantee to beat residents' current insurance renewal notices until the end of September (providing the car and bike renewal notices are not for budget, no frills, or telematics policies).

As with any offer, terms and conditions do apply but — if you can answer yes to the following five questions — it is very likely you qualify and will not have to pay a penny more for your insurance bills this year:

  1. Do you live near Hastings Local i.e. are you a resident at one of these postcodes: TN33, TN34, TN35, TN37, TN38, TN39, TN40, BN20, BN21, BN22, BN23, BN24?
  2. Are you aged over 25?
  3. Have you been accident and/or claim free in the last 12 months on your car or bike insurance, or the last three years on your home insurance?
  4. Do you have comprehensive cover for your car or bike?
  5. Is your renewal premium at least £150 for your car, £72 for your bike and £135 for your household insurance?

Jodee Smithers, branch manager, Hastings Local: "We know that everyone has been hit hard by rising bills — food, petrol, energy and we are here to help. Whatever your renewal quote for your motor, bike or household (contents and buildings combined) policy, we will guarantee to beat it and save you money."
