Hastings Direct — one of the top three largest employers in East Sussex — won a string of awards this week. On Tuesday at a glitzy London ceremony the company was named Personal Lines Broker of the Year at the 2013 Insurance Times Awards — where the company also scooped an award for its claims service.
On Wednesday at the Metropole Hotel in Brighton, the company won three further awards: Hastings Direct was named gold winner of Best Internal Publication in the 2013 Home Counties South Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards. Written and edited entirely by a team of staff reporters who work at all levels across the business this is the fourth award that the company's staff magazine — Harry's Extra — has won. Hastings Direct also won two Silver awards for Best Event and Best Internal Communications.
Whilst on Thursday the company was named Business of the Year at the Bexhill Achievers' Awards. Jay Wootten, community liaison for Hastings Direct was also named Resident of the Year at the awards.
