Track Day Free Prize Draw - frequently asked questions

Who is the draw open to?

  • The prize draw is open to all UK residents with a permanent UK address, except employees of Hastings Insurance Services Limited and other employees of the Hastings Group of companies, their families or anyone connected with the prize draw.

Is there an age restriction?

  • All entrants must be 18 years old or older.

What is the prize?

  • You will win two tickets to Castle Combe racetrack in Wiltshire on the set date of 22nd September 2010, provided by BLD.

Do I need a full UK bike license?

  • Yes, you and your guest must have a full UK bike license to take part.

What do I need to bring on the day?

  • Either a 1 piece leather or a 2 piece zip together suit, a full face helmet and good quality boots and gloves.

What is provided?

  • BLD will provide 2 serviced and prepared track bikes, mechanic and fuel and a safety briefing that you must attend.

Will there be any costs involved?

  • The cost of travel, meals and any accommodation is not part of this prize offer and must be met by the prize-winner.

How/When will the winner be selected?

  • The winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries via a computerized draw carried out on 6th September 2010.

How/When will the winner be notified?

  • The winner will be notified by telephone or post within five days of the draw taking place.

Is a purchase necessary?

  • No purchase is necessary. To enter without a policy purchase, send your name, address, contact telephone number, email address, vehicle make and model, and the date your insurance is due for renewal to:

    Persons who enter via this route will receive one entry into the prize draw. Entry via such a route can only be made once per person and is unavailable to anyone entering via the policy route. The day the entry is received by Hastings Direct will be deemed the entry date.

What are the terms and conditions?

    The promoter will accept purchase entries when a policy is purchased directly with Hastings Direct, via their website or purchases made via comparison sites.
    The promoter reserves the right to alter the terms of the prize draw or withdraw the prize draw at any time. The promoter also reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize, which will be of equivalent or higher value.
    The prize is no transferable or refundable, and there is no cash alternative.
    The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    The promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner if unable to contact the original winning person within 10 days of the draw taking place, or in the event of any winner being unable to prove adherence to these rules.
    The promoter accepts no responsibility for the prize-winners ineligibility or inability to have the benefit of all or any part of the prize.
    The promoter reserves the right to publish winners' and their guest's photographs, names and Home County in any post-event publicity and it is a condition of entry that the winner and their guest fully cooperates for publicity purposes if so required.
