Motorbike insurance acceptance criteria

If you can say yes to the following you are eligible for a quotation:

• You and all additional riders are permanently resident in England, Scotland or Wales (we regret we cannot offer quotations for residents of Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands).
• You or your spouse are the registered keeper, owner and main user of the motorbike.
• Your motorbike is registered in the UK, and is not a motorbike that would not normally be sold in the U.K.
• Your motorbike is not Q plated.
• You and all additional riders have advised the DVLA of any notifiable illness or disability and the DVLA have agreed to the issue of a licence.
• You and all additional riders hold the appropriate motorbike licence for the motorbike you ride or intend to ride.
• No rider has had any criminal convictions, been refused motorbike insurance or had any special terms imposed.
• If you include any additional riders on your policy, they will not use your motorbike for business purposes.
• No rider will require business use in relation to a driving occupation e.g. courier, fast food delivery, motor trade or any other involving hire and reward or commercial travelling.
• No rider is a professional sports person, actor, actress, tv/radio broadcaster, model, circus/fairground worker or street trader.
• The motorbike is the manufacturer's original specification with no modifications that enhance appearance or performance.
• Your motorbike is usually kept overnight at your home address.
• No rider has had more than 5 accidents, claims or losses in the last 5 years on a motorbike or a car, or more than 5 motoring convictions or endorsements (including fixed penalties) in the last 5 years including any prosecutions pending on any Motor Vehicle.
• If you are claiming no claims discount:
  1. it has been earned in the UK on a private motorbike policy in your own name, within the last 2 years, and
  2. it is not being used on another policy
